Electrolux Dishwasher Control Panel — Faults and Replacement

When an Electrolux dishwasher's buttons stop responding, the panel lights up wrong, or some keys work and others don't, the touch control panel (or the board behind it) is usually the suspect.

A few of these are settings, not failures — worth ruling out before assuming the part needs replacing.

Rule out the simple causes

  • Check for a control lock or child lock — many Electrolux models hold a button for three seconds to toggle it.
  • Power-cycle the dishwasher at the breaker for a few minutes to clear a frozen panel.
  • Look for moisture or steam damage at the door's top edge, a common reason touch panels go intermittent.

When the panel or board has failed

If specific buttons are permanently dead, the display is blank with power confirmed, or the panel responds erratically after a reset, the touch control assembly or the main control board has likely failed.

On most Electrolux models the control panel is replaced as a unit. Matching the exact part to your model and serial number matters — the same-looking panel often has several revisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it worth replacing an Electrolux dishwasher control panel?+
Usually yes on a unit under about eight years old — the panel costs far less than a new dishwasher. On an older machine with other wear, replacement of the appliance may be the smarter spend. We'll advise after diagnosing it.
